At Lac de Maison, family holidays are allowed to feel easy. Children can make friends, splash in the pool, explore the play barn, meet the animals and enjoy the freedom of the garden. Meanwhile, the grown-ups can slow down, share a bottle of wine beneath the pergola and remember what a holiday is meant to feel like.
Set among the peaceful countryside of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, our three self-catering gîtes can be booked separately or together—making Lac de Maison equally comfortable for one family, friends travelling together or a multi-generational gathering.

Four bedrooms, three bathrooms and room for eight. A spacious choice for larger families, with a generous kitchen-dining room and direct access towards the pool.
Rose Cottage
A relaxed three-bedroom cottage sleeping six, with open-plan family living and its own private garden.
Hollyhock Cottage
A light, single-storey two-bedroom cottage sleeping five—particularly convenient for younger families and guests who prefer fewer stairs.

You may recognise Lac de Maison from Channel 4’s Help! We Bought a Village. We left our old nine-to-five lives in Manchester to build a simpler family life in France—and to create the sort of relaxed, welcoming holidays we wanted for our own children.
